안녕하세요. 원준재, 이승태, 이민형, 이예성, 오예찬, 박상우, 유태진, 이민중 담당 인솔교사 임진혁입니다.

새벽에 비가내린 덕분인지 아침을 먹으러 나서는 길은 선선하였습니다. 구름도 적당히 끼인 하늘은 아이들이 생활하기 딱 좋은 날씨인 듯 하였습니다. 바람도 선선히 불어와 수업시간에는 모든 창문을 열어 놓고 수업을 진행하는 원어민 교사들도 있었습니다. 아이들도 자연의 바람이 불어오는 교실에서 에어컨 바람보다 더욱 생기있게 수업에 열중하는 모습을 보였습니다.

주5회의 정규수업이 시작 된 지 일주일이라는 시간이 지나는 중입니다. 그리고 오늘은 연달아 3번의 정규수업이 진행되는 날입니다. 아이들은 3일동안 진행된 조금은 힘든 수업일정에 조금 지쳐 보이는 모습을 보였습니다. 1:8 수업, 1:4 수업, 수학수업까지 각각의 수업에서 수업을 듣고 숙제까지 해결해야하는 아이들입니다. 그래서 쉬는 시간 중간에도 틈틈이 내일의 수업을 위하여 예습을 하기도하며, 매일 외워야 하는 단어를 보기도 하고, 수학 문제를 풀기도 합니다. 어찌 보면 조금은 힘든 면이 없지 않아 있지만 내일 있을 액티비티활동에 대한 설렘으로 아이들은 오늘 하루도 열심히 자신이 해야 할 일을 해내었습니다.

오늘의 CIP수업은 드림캐쳐 만들기를 했습니다. 드림캐쳐란 아메리칸 원주민들의 문화로 나쁜 꿈을 물리치고 좋은 꿈을 꾸게 하여 주는 전통 주술품입니다. 창문이나 잠자리 근처에 걸어놓으면 악몽을 잡아준다는 미신이 있습니다. 아이들은 알록달록하게 저마다의 드림캐쳐를 만들고 재미있는 시간을 보냈습니다. 항상 재미있는 활동을 하는 CIP시간이 아이들은 기다려진다고 합니다.

저희방 아이들은 매일 25개의 단어를 외우고 시험을 치릅니다. 시험은 저녁을 먹고 약 한 시간 반 후에 실시됩니다. 시험을 보기 전에 커트라인을 올려달라는 아이, 하기 싫다는 아이, 시간을 좀 더 미루어 달라는 아이 등 투정을 부리는 경우가 간혹 있습니다. 그러나 실제 시험이 시작되면 아이들은 무섭게 집중하여 암기한 영어단어를 쓰며 약 5분간은 방안이 고요해 지는 시간이 찾아옵니다. 그리고 채점을 시작하게 되면 아이들은 스펠링 하나를 틀린 것에도 엄청 아쉬워하며 모두 맞춘 아이들을 부러워하기도 합니다. 단어시험하나에도 이렇게 열심히 매달리는 것을 보면 아이들은 다른 분야에서도 반드시 크게 될 아이들이란 것을 느낍니다. 아이들이 정말 기특하고 오히려 제가 아이들에게 이러한 자세를 본받을 점도 있겠다는 생각이 들었습니다.

오늘의 개별 학생 코멘트는 학생들이 작성한 원어민 첨삭을 받은 영어 일기를 적어 보았습니다.

준재 : On first class, I made a dream catcher. Teacher said it can catch a nightmare but I don't believe it. When I cut a yarn, a scissors was lack. So I had to wait. And I finished, I cut paper to make shape of star. If I make this on next time, I will paint it for red. I will attach various shape on mine. Also, from tomorrow, I will do quickly because I didn’t have enough time today. I went to the room to put my dreamcatcher. Unfortunately, I found my shoes were messy because bird poo was on my shoes. I will clean it after the lunch.

승태 : yesterday I played table tennis in sports class. I liked it because I am good at table tennis. When I played table tennis, I matched with my friends and I won everybody. I think I am very great. However, there was hot. So I did table tennis just 30 minutes. Then we danced like a girl groups. It was very funny. Teachers said you look like a Idol. I heard this and danced more powerful. I loved this sports class.

민형 : Yesterday, I woke up at 6:50 am and washed my hair and brushed my teeth. I had breakfast with my friends. First class G5 was not much fun. Second class was table tennis. I was not good at table tennis but it was very fun. 7th class was math and it was difficult.

예성 : Today I got up late but I was so sleepy. I really like to study math than other subjects. Other subject is not that fun to me. So I study math everyday and I had dinner time and washed my body and my hair and I went to sleep.

예찬 : Today I woke up at 6:50 and I brushed my teeth. I went to cafeteria. The breakfast was delicious. I went CIP class room at 8:10. I had to make a dream catcher. Dream catcher is an artwork make us not to have a nightmare when sleeping. I made it for an hour. It was fun. Class was cool. I can't wait for tomorrow's activity

상우 : yesterday I played table tennis in the third class. I play with my friends. I’m good at playing table tennis. So I’m the best of students who can play table tennis. And a teacher played Korean songs. So some students sang the song. The we were happy. I won the game over my friends. I was happy, because I played table tennis and won over my friends.

태진 : In the first class, I made dream catcher. It means when you sleep, some kinds of dream is very scary like nightmare then it can make no more nightmare in your dream. So I made it very cool. If you see my dream catcher, you will throw dream your catcher into the garbage can. I think my dream catcher is one of the best in the world. So today won't have a nightmare.

민중 : Yesterday was funny day. We had ping-pong class in sports time and had a lot of fun. Teacher played music loudly, and me and seung-tae danced. I also played ping-pong. I think it was great. Araon also played well. He could be a ping-pong player. Seung-tae danced “Boom Boom” with me. He should be a girl group dancer. He is as much pretty as me. We played mafia game with teacher Chris. I killed citizens. I was very sorry for him. We had a word test, and I had one mistake. Anyhow yesterday was great day for me.
